Scrumptious and soulful with a spot of witty warmth and wonderful wisdom, I've witnessed Lady Deva spin her splendiferous sparkling tunes. All within earshot eagerly arrived to sample her selections, shake their soles, loose their cabooses, and cavort in carefree craziness! Huzzah!
I was a DJ at the Solstice Institute in Boulder, Colorado for around 6 years - offering monthly dancing for a community of barefoot groovers (now that I am living on the other side of Colorado, I will guest DJ in Boulder as I am able). I use my DJ'ing experience in combination with many of the Deva Dancing offerings to spin music for embodiment. Spiritual, world beat, rock, pop, hip-hop, electronica, new-age, and more will find their way into my mixes winding you through an ecclectic ride of auditory pleasure.
DJ picks of the moment:if I could only listen to these albums for the next few months, I'd still be happy. kirtan/chanting: Tina Malia and Shimshai - Jaya Bhagavan worldbeat/gypsy/trance: Priyo - Gypsy Moon folk/hip-hop: LYNX - Grain of Sand guitar/vocals: Kaki King frame drum: Glen Velez, Rhythms of Awakening choir/prayer/stillness/symphony: Jonathan Elias - The Prayer Cycle
